Continuing to Raise Public Awareness of Crowders Mountain State Park by:

                -Crowders Mountain State Park and FRIENDS’ group in area newspapers and periodicals

 

Updated and Improved FRIENDS’ Brochure and Schedule of Events/Meetings

Increased Distribution of FRIENDS’ Brochures and Schedule of Events/Meetings

Added FRIENDS Donation Box at New Boulder Access Area Visitor Center

Hosted Annual Bike Ride Fundraiser by Gaston County Cyclists

Participated in The Schiele Museum of Natural History’s EARTH DAY Celebration

Provided Hands-On Support on Trail Work Days

Provided Quarterly Educational Programs at General Meetings: 

                -Public is WELCOME with an Open Invitation for Membership or for Volunteer Opportunities

                -First Tuesday of mo./quarterly: Meet/Greet 6:30 p.m.; Meeting/Program: 7:00 p.m.

Park Superintendent Updates on Crowders Mountain State Park

Donated $500 for Work  Crew on  the 350- acre Successful Burn at Kings Pinnacle on January 6, 2010

Funded and Volunteered for new Butterfly Garden at Sparrow Springs Visitor Center
