Information on the East-West connector "Garden Parkway"


The North Carolina Turnpike Authority and the North Carolina Department of Transportation will hold a three citizens infomational Workshops to discuss the proposed Gaston-East-West Connector (also known as the Garden Parkway) project.

   Representatives of the project study team will present information, answer questions and receive comments regarding the proposed project. Drop in any time between 4:30 and 7:30 p.m.


All Friends of Crowders Mountain, Inc should attend the work shop #3 on Monday, August 11, 2008. Arrive at 6 p.m. at the Gastonia Adult Recreation Center, 519 West Franklin Boulevard, Gastonia.

Some of these routes go very close to Crowders Mountain and would bring lots of traffic to the area and lots of road noise. Crowders already has to much road noise from Route 85 already.
